all, both

all 与 both 都可用于名词之前,常与限定词the, this, my等连用。二者的区别是:

1.all可与可数名词的单、复数或不可数名词连用; 而 both 只能与复数的可数名词连用。

2.当这两个词与可数名词的复数形式连用时, all 指三个或三个以上; 而both则指两个。

all, complete

这两个词都可表示“完全的”。它们的区别是：

complete侧重于“整体”,用来修饰单数名词; all侧重于“全数”,可以用来修饰复数名词。例如:

Let's review the complete course.

让我们把课程从头到尾都复习一遍。

Let's review all the lessons.

让我们把各门功课都复习一遍。

all, whole

1.在以下情况下，两者都可用，但有差别：用在复数名词前，all表示“所有的；每一个”，而whole则表示“整个儿”；一般情况下，二者都可用在时间或季节名词之前，但在hour和century之前用whole，而不用all。

2.以下情况下，一般不用whole，但可用all：不可数名词或物质名词之前；表示地点的专有名词之前。
