program database file

The database can be modified by using the function in ODBC database interface of Authorware, and by using the system function Jump which would call other program to modify database with the items in a text file.

Modify the Program Database File Name property.

The interlock between the database and the program was traditionally a temporary standard data file.

Our work is aimed to seek a method to realize VOD on a LAN by the streaming media technology in terms of RM and ASF file format. An actual VOD sample and the program code access to the video database are given.

The experiment proves that the practical program by large database and C/ S model is the faster speed, the higher reliability and security than the practical program by small database and file/ server ( F/ S) model, in the case of large data.
